Vintage Find: The Perfect October Read

Candy Corn + Green Tea

It was truly a perfect fall weekend. The rain finally cleared up and I was able to get out there and truly soak it all in. Just relaxing in my backyard with some yummy candy corn + green tea while admiring the changing trees. They remind me a little of firecrackers, unfolding ambers, golds, and deep reds–all lighting up the heavy fall skies.

Agatha Christie

I also have been enjoying a really great read,¬†Hallowe’en Party by Agatha Christie. I have to totally geek out for a second and share how I scored this vintage find.

I am a huge Agatha Christie fan and have enjoyed many of her books. I am also really into obsessed with Halloween. Anyway, over the summer, I popped into a Half Price books and found this gem of a book sitting on a shelf labeled “old and interesting,” ¬†which is just hilarious to me. And the best part? This book was marked for only $1, people!

Reading is Sexy

Hallowe’en Party features detective Hercule Poirot in one challenging case of murder and mystery. It all starts as characters are getting into costume for the season’s big Halloween bash. Such a good book that has forever changed my view of bobbing for apples.

Enough of my geekery. Read any good books lately? Any “old and interesting” books you would recommend?
